After the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the fight for abortion rights is playing out at the state level. But Republicans have promised that if they take back control of Congress and the White House, they'll pass a nationwide abortion ban. With a nationwide ban, there'd be nothing state lawmakers could do to restore the right to an abortion.
We can't forget about the federal fight for abortion rights, or deem access to abortion in just some states "good enough." We need to send a warrior like Katie to the Senate to revoke the filibuster and codify the right to an abortion into law.
