Someone recently told me my life boils down to "juggling and fighting evil."
It's true, like most American parents I do a lot of juggling at home—making sure my kids are fed and at least loosely supervised. I juggled that with work, which as a Congresswoman means preparing for hearings, working on legislation, and meeting with folks in Orange County. And as a candidate for the U.S. Senate, it means traveling up and down the state connecting with voters and yes, fundraising.
But I do all of this so we can fight evil. The Republican House majority chooses to demonize a new group of Americans every week. Whether it's the LGBTQ+ community, people who have abortions, or teachers—it's nonstop. We have to fight their sometimes straight-up evil policy choices.
