I'm abundantly proud to say: I "do Congress" differently than most of my colleagues:
- I don't take money from corporate PACs, federal lobbyists, or executives from Big Oil, Big Pharma, or Wall Street Banks. I'm the only person in the race who can say this.
- I'm leading the fight to ban Members of Congress and their families from trading stocks.
- When Congress brought back earmarks (which are a way of funding Members' pet projects) in 2021, I was the only Democrat to oppose them.
- When I'm home in Orange County, my toughest constituents are my three kids. Seriously, they track the bills we vote on and come prepared with the tough (but fair) questions.
Washington needs change, and we can do that by electing leaders who aren't beholden to corporate special interests. I'm ready to take our fight to the U.S. Senate. If you're with me, consider pitching in today.
