National GOP groups just went up with TV ads supporting my MAGA opponent. It's the nightmare scenario - millions of dollars of outside money is about to flow into my district to flip this seat red.
I'll admit I'm feeling pretty down. We work our heart out for this community and we try to do the right thing. And yet these outside groups can just write big checks and put in their hand-picked Republicans to do their bidding.
I'm writing to you hoping that this team can prove them wrong - that their dark money doesn't always get to win. We've built this grassroots team from everyday people who believe in decency and shared values. And darn it, we deserve to hold this seat blue!
I'm hoping you will be willing to chip in to help us pay for our own response TV ad. I'll be truthful with you, we need to raise… a lot of money this week. I know we can do it, but it's going to take all of us.
