Jason,
Alexandria's community sent her to Congress on purpose to disrupt and challenge a lot of what's wrong in D.C.
But during her first term, many people in her own party said her election was a fluke, a mistake, and that there was "nothing to worry about." Many believed that Alexandria would be a one-term Congresswoman.
One colleague in Congress said they were "shocked" to see how hostile her own party was towards Alexandria from the moment she arrived — and she still faces hostility to this day.
But a shift is happening, Jason.
Alexandria even spoke at the DNC to share this movement's message with the mainstream: we demand a brighter future for all.
Now, Alexandria already has at least one MAGA Republican opponent this November. We need to be ready to fight back against whatever else they'll throw at us this year so we can keep pushing for real progress.
Every dollar, no matter the amount, shows the widespread support for our priorities from California and beyond.
