I just watched Christian Menefee get sworn into Congress.
(And shockingly, Mike Johnson swore him in without any drama.)
Christian is our first endorsed candidate elected to Congress this cycle, and seeing him take that oath rewarded all of our hard work.
What was even better? When Christian turned to thank his wife, I was sitting right next to her, and every member of Congress — including the ones we are challenging — looked up and saw us there.
Let that moment sink in. The complacent Democrats who were sitting too comfortably in their seats looked up and saw the organization coming for them sitting right there in the chamber.

This isn't about electing younger versions of the same people already in Congress. It's about supporting leaders like Christian who understand their constituents. Who when asked by someone like Mike Johnson if he's going to vote to increase ICE funding, responds that he will vote in a form representative of his district and then votes no on more ICE funding.
When Texas Republicans tried to restrict voting rights and throw out election results, Christian Menefee fought them in court and won. When corporations polluted poor neighborhoods in his community he forced them to clean up their mess.
He's the first in his family to graduate college. He's a proud product of Texas public schools. Christian has fought against price-gouging and is using his law degree to stand up for families across the state.
Some may talk about pushing back, but Christian built a record of real results.
Watching him get sworn in was a much-needed reminder of why we do this work. And the results that come with it. Every incumbent watching should have looked up, understanding the power that we have and what we will do with it.
