Jason,
I have some news that should make every congressional incumbent very, very nervous.
Every single Leaders We Deserve-endorsed candidate outraised their incumbent challengers in the fourth quarter of 2025. WITHOUT taking a dime of corporate PAC money.
Our candidates are showing the strength of younger leaders, people-powered politics, and fighting against the status quo.
The incumbents we're challenging shouldn't just be nervous. They should be terrified.
Here's what is happening:
Justin J. Pearson (TN-09) raised $732,151
Rep. Steve Cohen raised $84,226
Nida Allam (NC-04) raised $334,740
Rep. Valerie Foushee raised $131,866
Donavan McKinney (MI-13) raised $217,044
Rep. Shri Thanedar raised $25,312
Patrick Roath (MA-08) raised $170,070
Rep. Stephen Lynch raised $104,595
These numbers aren't flukes. They're what happens when you put up candidates that actually inspire people. While the amounts raised this means little to people outside DC it's damn near everything to people inside DC. It is very rare for incumbent challengers to be doing this much better than their opponents who have decades of connections and donors.
While we know these numbers are certainly not everything our candidates are taking nothing for granted. They're hard at work knowing money alone isn't enough to win. That's why they are focused on organizing college students in their districts, knocking doors, doing down halls and more.
We're challenging these incumbents because they've gotten too comfortable. Meanwhile, our candidates are showing up, organizing, and refusing to compromise their values.
We're going to keep primarying candidates, keep holding complacent leaders accountable, and keep building a Democratic Party that actually deserves the power that voters give it.
Let's keep this energy going.
