Live Nation and Ticketmaster rigged the system — and you've been paying for it.
If you've ever tried to buy tickets to a concert or sporting event on Ticketmaster, you know how frustrating the system can be.
That's on purpose — and it's why I filed a landmark antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster, back in 2024.
They've been using their dominance in ticketing and live events to squeeze out competitors and drive up prices for fans, harming consumers and the entire live music industry.
A week into the trial, the U.S. Department of Justice announced it was abandoning this lawsuit and settling with Live Nation.
Well, California won't take the lackluster deal.
Today, we're heading back to trial without the Feds to hold Live Nation accountable and get a better deal for the American people.
Allowing big corporations to illegally create monopolies so they can rake in cash will only worsen the affordability crisis here in California and across the country. And as your Attorney General, I won't stand by while that happens.
Holding those who abuse their power accountable is my job, and I'm going to get it done.
But taking on powerful corporations requires resources and staying power, so I need you on my team.
Right now, my re-election campaign is working toward a critical end-of-quarter fundraising deadline. Will you chip in before our March deadline to help power our fights?
