They showed us exactly who they are. Now, we need to fight back.
In the span of just 24 hours last week, the GOP proved to the entire country exactly who they are. Please let us explain:
First, on Wednesday, GOP Senator Tim Sheehy jumped out of his seat during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing to physically assault a Marine Corps veteran who bravely stood up against the ongoing war in Iran.
A sitting GOP U.S. Senator broke this veteran's arm. Then he went on social media to brag about it – calling the veteran "unhinged" for speaking out.
The very next day, Donald Trump announced that Kristi Noem was fired from her post as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security after receiving questions about the ICE shootings in Minneapolis earlier this year and her $220 million taxpayer-funded ad campaign on horseback.
This should have been good news… But then Trump announced his new pick for DHS Secretary: GOP Senator Markwayne Mullin – a former MMA fighter who once challenged a union leader to a fistfight on the Senate floor.
This is the reality of the GOP in 2026. Violent. Scandal-ridden. Willing to do anything to look strong or accumulate more power for themselves.
That's why it has never been more important to elect Democrats who actually know how to govern. Real leaders who know that serving working families is their most sacred duty. People who will fight like hell to take back our country and end the chaos the GOP constantly uses to manipulate us.
