Jason, I am humbled and honored to be your Democratic nominee for United States Senate! Illinois sent a clear message last night: We're ready to take our democracy back. In the past year, we've seen Donald Trump wage war on working families to bankroll tax breaks for his allies, strip health care from Americans, and relentlessly terrorize our communities. But I've seen the very best of Illinois respond. People who took to the streets, stood up for their neighbors, and refused to back down. Time and again, with everything on the line, Illinois showed up. Together, we've confronted the most frightening moments of lifetimes. Despite the fear, we're all finding the courage to keep going. Courage inspired me to run. Courage powered this campaign. And courage will bring this fight straight to Donald Trump's door. This campaign was built on a simple belief: We are stronger when we stand together, and we are unshakeable when we turn our fear into courage and our anger into action.
