During the first Trump administration, as Democrats were looking for a path forward, I stepped up to run for Congress. Looking at Washington, I saw two big issues no one was addressing.

2. Not enough politicians were fighting for families like mine—the ones clipping coupons, driving minivans, and worrying about rising costs.

I ran to change that—by relentlessly focusing on making government work for everyday families, and by never selling out my values for a corporate check.

In 2018, that was rare. But today, candidates across the country are standing up to reject the corrupt influence of corporate money and to lower costs. Those are the types of candidates on our 2026 slate.

If we’re going to shake up the status quo in Washington, we have to make sure these leaders win in November.
