Hey Jason -- Beto's digital director here. This is the first time you've heard from me (hi!), but I'm reaching out now because I've got something important to tell you.
You know and I know that ~~the narrative~~ is mostly garbage. We're seeing energy and growth all across the country, and a poll just a few days ago showed that we're the most viable candidate to win the Texas primary (and if you win Texas, you can damn near win the whole thing).
With that said, I'd be lying if I said we didn't have work to do, and the thing we need the most right now is irrefutable fundraising numbers at the end of the month. Emails like this one are how we raise about half of the money required to cover our costs, but only about 1-in-100 people reading any given email end up donating. That's why I'm asking:
With your help, we've been able to break records in the past, but I look at the numbers every day, and...let's just say that the official FEC deadline is coming up a whole lot faster than I would like.
If you need a reminder, this campaign is 100% funded by people. Beto made that choice because he believes, deeply, that it's time to break the chokehold that PACs, corporations, and special interests have over our democracy. But that choice comes with a cost:

I wasn't here for the Senate race, but I was a (recurring!!) donor. Everyone counted Beto out, but with our help, he proved everyone wrong. We find ourselves there again: down, but not out, and needing to prove everyone wrong.
I mean it when I say this: we have a real shot at winning this primary. I wouldn't have moved my life to El Paso if I didn't think that. But we can only do it if you're with us. So let's get after this, with all of our strength.
