When Amy and I decided to run for Governor, we did so because we believe it's the best way for us to do our part to build a bigger, bolder vision for Texas.
A Texas that includes all of us — one that is big enough for our dreams and big enough to make them happen. And a Texas that we're proud to pass on to the next generation.
The challenges we face today are the greatest in living memory. Our leaders have stopped listening to the people they were elected to serve, instead choosing to cater to their own political interests and the loudest voices in their party. They've prioritized mean, petty, and extreme fringe policies instead of expanding health care, crushing Covid, getting people back to work, and ensuring our electricity grid doesn't fail us again this winter.
That's not our vision for Texas, Jason. In our vision for Texas, every Texan can afford to see a doctor, has the opportunity to pursue the education and the career of their dreams, and benefits from a government that will never fail its people like it did during the winter storm.
