This news is just in from NPR, Jason:

NRA Was 'Foreign Asset' To Russia Ahead of 2016, New Senate Report Reveals September 27, 2019

A scathing Senate report details how the NRA served as a "foreign asset" to Russian officials in the lead-up to 2016. An 18-month investigation showed how top NRA officials were offered lucrative business deals on trips to Russia paid for by the NRA. Those transactions are completely illegal for a tax-exempt nonprofit.

Now Beto is joining leading Democrats in calling on the federal government to revoke the NRA's tax-exempt nonprofit status.

Can you join us today? Sign on to our petition calling on the IRS to revoke the NRA's tax-exempt nonprofit status.

Sign on, Jason

After you're done signing on, please forward this email to your friends and family. We need as many people to add their names as possible to call out the NRA. If NRA officials are going to use their political clout for personal gain, they simply cannot continue operating as a tax-exempt nonprofit. It's that simple.

Leveling with you

We want to level with you. Lately our fundraising has slowed down considerably. At the same time, other campaigns are reporting big surges.

Beto for America

Jason,

We want to level with you. No one doubts that Beto is capable of raising money and exciting small-dollar donors. We've proven it time and time again, and we're still up in the top tier of presidential contenders.

But lately our fundraising has slowed down considerably. At the same time, other candidates are reporting big surges.

We set a big goal because $750k is what we need to file a strong FEC report. We might not make it, but we need to try our best right now to close the gap. Emails like this one usually generate about half of all the money we've raised so far, but only 1-in-100 people reading any given email end up donating.

Can Beto count on you to be one of those people to contribute today towards our FEC deadline goal? Make a $10 donation now.

Contribute $10

This week and this deadline are SO critical. We can't underline that enough. Especially because this campaign is funded 100% by the people. If we don't hit our goals, there aren't any PACs or special interest groups lining up to write us big checks (and even if there were we wouldn't accept them!).

When you donate today, you're helping us prove we can run a truly grassroots-funded campaign and still compete at the highest level.

We need your help right now to pick up our pace so we don't get heavily outspent — add a $10 contribution now before our FEC deadline.

Thanks for all your help.

- Team Beto

All in

I think a lot about what made us so successful in 2018, especially as we try to find our way in this presidential race.

Beto for America

Jason,

I think a lot about what made us so successful in 2018, especially as we try to find our way in this presidential race. Here's what I know: If we can replicate what we did in Texas all over this country — the energy, volunteering, the grassroots fundraising — we will not only defeat Donald Trump in 2020, but we will win the Senate and House and umpteen important state and local races.

I've seen up close what an energized grassroots campaign can accomplish. We didn't break the record for most votes for a Democrat in Texas because I was an amazing politician. We didn't raise more than any Senate campaign in history (most of it online) because I said NFL players who kneel are patriotic Americans. We didn't knock millions of doors because we had the biggest staff.

We broke those records because people in Texas and all over the country understood — some of them for the first time in their lives — that when millions of people come together we are extremely powerful.

We can run that kind of campaign against Trump in 2020. We can set our sights high. Break records for online fundraising. Break records for door knocking. Raise turnout as high as ever. Win so-called "red states" like Texas.

It all starts when we get a group of people together who are going to be fired up and say, "I'm all in." Today, I'm asking you to do that.

In three days we will close our public fundraising report for the FEC deadline. We need to raise $750k to show we have serious momentum.

Please — if you're fired up about building a grassroots movement to beat Trump and shake our politics up — will you make a $10 donation?

Contribute $10

Your donation today could be the one that tips us over the line on hitting our goal. And look, if only a few people give on an email like this one, it's not going to amount to much. But when hundreds, or thousands, or tens of thousands and eventually millions of people come together… that's a whole 'nother story.

That's when we break records. That's when we don't just eke out a win against Trump, but we flip Texas' 38 electoral college votes, flip the Senate, keep the House and roll into Washington DC with a mandate for change in 2021.

It's all possible. We just need everyone to be all in. And it starts with us hitting our goal: Please make a $10 donation right now towards our $750k goal before Monday's midnight FEC deadline.

What we do right now will determine whether or not we'll have a grassroots movement strong enough to accomplish all of this. I'm ready to fight for it, but I can't do it without you.

seriously just 2 people in 90291

So we need $465k more. That's about 21,750 donations in four days. Based on the number of Beto supporters in the 90291 zip code, we just need 2 people in your area to donate. Can you be one of those today?

Beto for America

Hi Jason! It's Rob again.

I know we've emailed a lot (a lot) asking for help on our $750k FEC deadline goal. I have no clue if we're going to hit it. We're running behind right now, but I will say on past goals we saw a big surge in the last couple days and hours before the deadline. Crossing my fingers for another one here.

So we need $465k more. That's about 23,250 donations in four days.

Based on the number of Beto supporters in the 90291 zip code, we just need 2 people in your area to donate. Can you be one of those today?

Donate to Our Goal

If even half the people reading this email right now decide to give, we could hit our goal early! For the 90291 zip code area, we honestly just need 2 people to give in the next four days. It feels like that's doable, no?

Give today or tomorrow. Doesn't matter as long as you make at least one more donation before the deadline on Monday at midnight. Preferably tonight tho because we have one nervous digital director and it would be nice to know we're on track

Be one of the 2 people we need in your zip code now. Make a donation.

Thanks so much for always having Beto's back.

Hi Jason!

Hi Jason! It's Amy. It's been a while since I've written to you, and I wanted to reach out because it's Beto's birthday.

Beto for America

Hi Jason!

It's been a while since I've written to you, but I wanted to reach out because it's Beto's birthday. He is in Pennsylvania today, so the kids and I won't get to celebrate with him in person. Instead, we'll join volunteers and supporters in El Paso to celebrate from afar.

It's not easy to be apart on yet another anniversary (14 years this past Tuesday!) and his birthday, but the encouragement we're getting from all of you makes it all worthwhile.

Every day I'm struck by all your dedication and enthusiasm. What I have seen on the ground in Texas, New Hampshire, and Iowa is remarkable. And I have loved following along via phone calls and social media this past week as he traveled through Colorado, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. There has been so much incredible energy and enthusiasm, and I know Beto has learned a lot from all of you who have been willing to share your stories.

Keeping Beto on the road so he can meet as many people as possible and organizing the largest volunteer team in the country who will mobilize voters in November 2020 requires a tremendous amount of infrastructure and money.

Since the campaign has a big goal of raising $750,000 by Monday at midnight, I'm wondering if you'll donate today for Beto's birthday.

Thank you for all you do to keep this campaign going! It's such an honor to be part of this with you.

Amy

PS: As a reminder, in four days, we'll close the books on our end-of-quarter fundraising.

Since it's Beto's birthday and we have a really big goal (and a lot of ground to make up), I'm wondering: Can you make a birthday donation today?

our progress

Hi Jason, we wanted to give you a quick update. We just crossed over our first $200k towards our big end-of-quarter goal.

Beto for America

Hi, Jason. Wanted to give you a quick update.

We just crossed over our first $200k towards our big end-of-quarter goal. Can you donate now to increase our pace? If you don't, we might not make it.

CNN recap video

Contribute $10

The deadline is September 30th at midnight. That's when we'll close the books and send in our official FEC report. We've only got a handful of days left, and if we continue at our current fundraising pace we're going to fall really short. Yikes!

Please make a $10 donation to help us reach our goal before the deadline.

Posting impressive fundraising numbers on our FEC report is absolutely critical if we want to show Beto has momentum in this race.

📎 Jason's supporter record 📎

Everything we do — this entire campaign — is 100% funded and supported by people like you giving to emails like these.

Beto for America

Jason, does this look right to you?

We've been looking over our records before end of quarter and it looks like you haven't yet made a gift to help us reach our $750,000 goal:

Supporter name: Jason Ambrose
Supporter ID: ID #4932892
Contributed to our goal? Not yet
Suggested Contribution: $10

The goals we set aren't arbitrary numbers made up by our finance team. They're based on what we need to bring in to keep everything moving forward as planned. Whether or not we reach our goals does have a real and major impact on the future of our campaign.

Your gift, right now, will help us reach our goal and make sure that we have the resources we need to keep this campaign going strong. Can you give your suggested contribution of $10 today?

Contribute $10

From day one, we said no to PAC money, we turned down corporations, we brushed off the lobbyists, and we rejected special interests. That means everything we do — this entire campaign — is 100% funded and supported by people like you giving to emails like these.

Relying on folks like you to fund this campaign means Beto can spend less time fundraising and more time out on the campaign trail, listening to voters and personally visiting marginalized communities.

It means Beto can speak his mind, declaring from the national debate stage that "hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15" without first having to worry about what some billionaire or PAC will think.

Beto can be Beto exactly because we have grassroots supporters like you funding us every step of the way.

But, for all of this to continue, we need to hit our $750,000 end of quarter goal — which means we need you to pitch in and make your suggested contribution. Can you give $10 to keep our 100% grassroots people-powered campaign going strong?

And, as always, thank you for your support,

- Team Beto
