We're going to let you in on an open secret: those goals are fake. Every campaign or organization worth its salt sets fundraising goals, but absolutely no one is doing things on that granular of a level.

As a consumer protection attorney, Katie has always thought fundraising tactics like those are fundamentally dishonest. It's why she's always insisted that our email program should meet the gold standard for ethical fundraising.
