Billionaires have everything. They still want more.

A one-time 5% tax would help protect health care while leaving California’s billionaires extraordinarily wealthy.

Jason,   This November, Californians will vote on a ballot measure to impose a one-time 5% tax on the state’s billionaires.   I support it. As I wrote in a recent letter to the editor in the Washington Post, the people who have benefited most from California’s success have a responsibility to give back. This isn't radical—it’s patriotic.   California’s roughly 250 billionaires are worth more than $2 trillion. Even after paying this tax, they would still be worth nearly $2 trillion—while the revenue raised would help protect health care for children and families across our state.   Will you sign my petition to support California’s proposed billionaire tax?
