Jason,
Nolan Wells would be 19 this week.
He should be celebrating with his family and looking forward to his future.
Instead, his family is still fighting for answers about how their 18-year-old son and brother disappeared on July 4 and was found dead two days later.
And Nolan’s family is not alone. Across America, Black families and other families of color have been left with unanswered questions after loved ones who have died under suspicious or unexplained circumstances.
Each case has its own facts. But the pattern of families being forced to beg for urgency, transparency, and accountability cannot be ignored.
Authorities owe these families more than quick conclusions and closed doors. They owe them the truth.
