One of the biggest challenges our candidates face when competing against a longtime incumbent is the name ID advantage their opponents have over them.
We ran a poll back in July that showed that was true in this district as well. Even though Stephen Lynch voted against the Affordable Care Act and for the Laken Riley Act that supports ICE, he was still a recognizable name for likely voters.
Because of grassroots donations from supporters like you, we had the resources to spend the next four weeks sending targeted mailers to voters in the district, increasing Patrick’s name ID and sharing his vision for new leadership in DC.

When we ran a new poll, we found that our efforts were already showing major signs of success. Patrick is now within striking distance of winning this race.
But we can’t afford to slow down now.
Patrick’s primary is on September 1 — and we need all hands on deck to make sure he can reach every voter he needs to win between now and September 1st.
