Donald Trump has spent months spreading conspiracy theories about our elections and trying to interfere with the democratic process, refusing to rule out sending troops to polling places or blocking states from certifying results. We’re fighting his administration’s completely baseless lawsuit against California, and so far, we’re winning — because we have the facts and the law on our side.
With our fundamental right to vote under attack from a President hell-bent on interfering in our elections, exercising that right has never been more important.
Every eligible Californian has the right to vote — and as we enter the final days of this election, my office remains fully prepared to protect that right.
Let me be absolutely clear: We will not allow Donald Trump to intimidate California voters or interfere with our elections. Across California, attorneys, investigators, and staff from my office are on call and ready to respond in real time to any threats to your right to vote. If you can imagine it, we are prepared for it.
Donald Trump wants to sow doubt and confusion. He wants us to lose faith in our elections. We cannot and will not let his un-American and anti-democratic tactics win. And the best way to fight back is to make our voices heard at the ballot box.
If you haven't voted yet, take a minute right now and make a plan for how, when, and where you will vote. Drop off your ballot, or vote in person by 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3. You can find dropbox locations, early voting locations, Election Day polling places, and ballot tracking information right here.
I'm proud to have cast my ballot because our democracy is worth showing up for. I hope you'll join me by voting on or before November 3.
