Despite the fact that the federal government has absolutely NO authority over how states administer elections.    And that’s not all. Just yesterday, Trump’s DOJ sued the state of Alaska preemptively to block their U.S. Senate results — if the Republican incumbent loses. And that’s STILL not all:   Donald Trump confirmed what we all already knew — he’s the one who ordered the lawsuit.  You truly can’t make this stuff up.   The law does not belong to Donald Trump or Todd Blanche to twist and turn as they see fit, or to block election outcomes they don’t want. The law is clear. The Constitution is clear. And officers of the law are not beholden to one person’s whims and tantrums. We are beholden to justice, and justice alone.   All of this comes after the Trump administration sued California with baseless claims that have already been dismissed by audits, recounts, and court cases, and after they threatened our local election officials to scare them ahead of the midterms.   News flash to Trump: California will not be intimidated. California will not be bullied. California will not allow you to trample the law, restrict our rights, or interfere in our elections.   Any way that Trump may try to get the election results he wants — whether by brute force or bogus lawsuits or anything in between — my office is prepared to respond.   We can’t let up, and with your support, we won’t.
