Here’s what I want you to know: nothing coming out of Washington has changed how you can vote in California.
We secured a U.S. Supreme Court order protecting your ability to vote by mail, so you can vote exactly as you have in past elections: by mail, ballot drop box, early, or in person on Election Day.
Your vote is safe. And we’re going to keep it that way.
→ We’ve been in close contact with law enforcement, the Governor, the Secretary of State, and local registrars across the state. Protecting your right to vote is a team effort in California, and we are prepared for any possibility.
→ We’ve also taken new steps to strengthen those protections. California just passed new laws that make it a crime to unlawfully seize ballots, and that if a seizure is attempted, my office must be notified immediately so we can act to stop it.
To put it simply: If you can imagine it, we’re ready for it.
When it comes to protecting your fundamental right to vote — from the President, a law-breaking sheriff, or anyone else who tries to interfere — I’ll never stop fighting for your rights and our shared democracy.
I’m up for re-election this November, and I could use your support in these final two weeks. Will you chip in to support our work so I can win and be prepared for all the fights ahead?
