Those are the exact words a young voter who voted for Trump recently told the Washington Post. Betrayed. We can argue all day about why some young people voted for Trump, but the bottom line is that they did. And now they're turning on him.
The young people who voted for Trump — well, most of them anyway — didn't do so because they wanted more endless wars, high gas prices, and masked federal agents patrolling the streets terrorizing immigrants and shooting citizens to death.
We need to seize the moment, Jason. Young people who voted for Trump were sick of the status quo, but they are not happy with what's happening now. We can win them back, but we have to fight for real change, not more empty promises.
Our work is giving young people a new generation of leaders to vote for, and it's working.
