Friends, when I was sworn in as your Attorney General, I made a promise to Californians that no matter what came our way, we would be ready.
And since the moment Donald Trump took office again in January of last year, we've been proving that.
Attorneys general across the country prepared for Trump 2.0 because our constituents deserved nothing less than complete readiness in the face of a lawless administration.
We knew we would face a flurry of executive overreach, an onslaught of unconstitutional actions, and unwavering attacks on the freedoms we're sworn to uphold.
And we were right. Every time this administration breaks the law, tramples our rights, and attacks our democracy, we fight back and take them to court — again and again. And again and again, we win.
I'm doing everything I can to defend our rights here in California, but I'm also up for re-election in November and I'm going to need your help to continue doing this important work.
