Here is the state of the race for Governor of Texas.
FIRST: Gina won the Democratic primary and secured the nomination, powered by Democrats outvoting Republicans in a midterm primary for the first time in 24 years.
THEN: New polling showed this race is within reach. We are in a statistical tie with Greg Abbott, and even tied in TX-23, a district Trump won by 15 points. Republicans noticed, and the panic set in.
NOW: We have to turn that momentum into a campaign that can win in November. That is why we set a goal to raise $675,000 before tonight's end-of-quarter deadline, and we don't have much time left to close the gap.
This is our chance to prove our people-powered movement can go toe to toe with Abbott's billionaire machine and win.
