Good morning, Jason! I just woke up, had a cup of coffee, and wanted to send this to you first thing in the morning before my daughters wake up. Tonight is our first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of the 2026 election year. This is a big deal for our campaign because our report will be public — and I'll be honest, right now we are falling short of our goal. It has already been a brutal month. Donald Trump and his allies have escalated their attacks against me and our fundraising has not been where we need it to be to respond effectively. I'm really worried that if we do not reach our goal tonight, they're going to dump millions of dollars into attack ads against me to try to flip this seat. We have to be prepared to fight back and show them we're not backing down. This is all leading up to tonight's major FEC deadline. I have to make a big decision about how much budget we can put towards field organizing and digital ads before the election in June (I'm on the ballot against three Republicans, but we need to make sure I place first!). The truth is, we can't hire another organizer or run a single ad unless we hit our goal by midnight. So I'm asking everyone on this team to step up.
