Are you following what's happening in Texas, Jason?
Texas Democrats just made history.
More than 2.2 million votes tallied in the Democratic primary — making this the party's strongest primary turnout in decades.
And Latinos in Texas were decisive.
In majority-Latino counties like Hidalgo, Starr, Cameron, and El Paso, 460,438 people voted in the Democratic primary — a 149% increase from the 2022 election. Turnout in these counties surged from 21% to 216% from 2022.
This isn't a trend. It's a movement.
We can't let up now. This moment has been years in the making, built by local organizers across Texas and fueled by national support, including Voto Latino's work online and on the ground since day one.
Since 2012, we've helped register 385,563 Texas voters, including 53,437 in 2024 alone. We've fought voter suppression in the courts. And we've won.
Now we're going further.
Our Texas blueprint is ready for launch. For 2026, we've identified three of the most competitive congressional districts in Texas — seats critical to defeating the Republican House majority. The path to victory runs through the Latino community. We're already on 15 campuses across the state through our VL On-Campus program, building the next generation of Latino leaders and turning first-time voters into consistent ones.
Latinos are 25%+ of registered voters in Texas. Imagine what's possible when we close the registration gap entirely.
This is the moment to invest — before November, before the window closes.
Every dollar goes toward registering voters, fighting suppression, and building the Latino political power that can flip Texas — and most importantly, transform American politics for a generation.
This work is bigger than us. It's about building lasting power and shaping the future of Latinos in Texas and across the country.
Thank you for your support.
