My mom was a public school teacher right here in Texas.
We didn’t have much growing up, but she worked tirelessly and instilled that same resilience in me. Watching her dedication – and remembering everything she did to support my success in school – fostered in me a deep appreciation for the power of public education. |
That's why I'm so proud to have received the endorsement from the Texas American Federation of Teachers this week. |
Our teachers and school employees deserve respect, support, and the resources to help every student succeed. That's why I’m proud to stand with and have the support of the educators who show up for our kids every day. |
If this endorsement and this election prove anything, it's that we all have to come together and win back the House so Democrats are in a position to fight for our teachers and working families.
