Jason,   FIRST: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth tried to strong-arm Anthropic into opening its AI for unrestricted military use.   THEN: Anthropic's CEO, Dario Amodei, drew two clear red lines: No mass domestic surveillance of Americans. No fully autonomous AI weapons.   NOW: The Trump administration has retaliated. Donald Trump ordered federal agencies to phase out Anthropic's technology rather than respect basic guardrails.   Let's be clear about what this fight is really about.   Hegseth wants AI systems with no limits.   No limits on surveillance. No limits on automation in war.
