It’s go time.

Last night, I won my primary election for North Carolina's U.S. Senate seat — and I'm officially going up against Donald Trump's handpicked candidate, Michael Whatley, in the race experts say will decide Senate control.

The GOP is already attacking our campaign. They're lying about my record here in North Carolina. They're spending millions of dollars to try to defeat me. Unless we fight back now, we will enter the general election at a huge disadvantage.

This is predicted to be the most expensive Senate race in history, and we need to raise $1 million in the next 48 hours to kick things off in the strongest position possible. Will you split a $20 gift between our campaign and the DNC to help us reach our goal, win in North Carolina and return power to the people nationwide?

I am ready to stand up to the far right's chaos and corruption in Washington. And, unlike my Republican opponent, I will never stop fighting for lower prices, affordable health care, abortion access, voting rights and good schools.

Trump and the GOP know this — and they know that if we win here, Democrats can retake control of the Senate and block their harmful agenda. Now that we're through the primary, far-right Republicans will pour millions more into our race to try and prevent that from happening.
