Let me explain what's happening.
I worked with Bernie Sanders to introduce a Billionaire Tax: a modest tax so the wealthiest pay their fair share to fund healthcare, housing, and education.
Now, the backlash is here.
A flood of outside money is pouring into this race from the same ultra-wealthy networks that try to buy elections across the country.
Political analysts are already calling this the toughest race I've faced.
But here's what they don't understand: This campaign isn't powered by billionaires. It's powered by people.
I don't take corporate PAC money.
I don't take checks from lobbyists.
And I'm not going to start now.
But to win, we have to prove that we have the grassroots strength to fight back and win.
So I'm asking one more time:
Can you make a donation of $1 or more before this FEC deadline?
Every single contribution sends a message that this campaign belongs to working people, not the wealthy few.
