You’re a critical part of this team. That’s why I wanted to personally give you an update on the state of our playing field.
Here’s a real time update on where things are at:
Most people don’t know this, but Maryland law requires public officials like me to stop fundraising while the legislature is in session.
For months, I’ve been focused solely on winning results for Marylanders including:
- Protecting our immigrant community,
- Investing in public safety,
- Lowering Marylanders' energy bills,
- Increasing our housing supply,
- And more.
But we didn’t raise a single dollar. We’ve had to wait. You know who hasn’t? Republicans. While we were hard at work, they were raising money nonstop from Donald Trump’s donors.
And now, they’re about to flood Maryland with dark money.
This seat has flipped parties between every governor for the last twenty years. I flipped it from a Republican — and now Donald Trump’s allies want to flip it right back. It’s why Maryland is one of Republicans’ top targets in 2026.
I say, the pattern stops with me. I refuse to let this seat turn red. We need strong Democrats who aren’t afraid to fight back against Trump in state leadership positions, now more than ever.
