Everything has been leading to this moment, folks. Early voting in our runoff election starts next week on the 18th, and before then, I need your help.
You see, just as Texans are ready to start casting their ballots, I’m facing baseless, misleading attacks from my primary opponent. They have no merit. I know who I am and what I’m fighting for, but I have to make sure the voters in Texas’ 33rd District know it, too. Here’s my story: North Texas is where I was born and raised by my single mom – a public school teacher who often took on a second job to make ends meet. It’s where I spent time at the local YMCA, surrounded by mentors and coaches who gave me the support I needed to become the man I am today. And it’s where my wife, Aly, and I are raising our two boys. My journey from North Texas to the NFL to Congress is anything but ordinary, and it was only made possible because of this community. You can bet I’m going to fight like hell for it.
But right now, we’re facing down our final ad-buy deadline of the runoff campaign, and we’ve got a Texas-sized budget gap to close. I’m relying on grassroots support from people like you to help me keep these ads running all the way until Election Day.
