Four years later, I’m still angry
Jason,
Four years ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
I still remember the sheer anger I felt when the ruling came down - and honestly, I’m getting angry again just thinking about it right now.
I am heartbroken for the women in 13 states facing total abortion bans with virtually no exceptions, and the millions more living under draconian six-week bans before they even know they are pregnant.
As a father, this hits incredibly close to home. What kind of world are we leaving for our daughters if they have fewer rights and less access to basic healthcare than their mothers and grandmothers had? No woman should be forced to cross state lines or drive hundreds of miles just to get the medical care she needs.
The path forward is clear, but it won’t be easy: We must take back the House majority and immediately pass federal protections for reproductive freedom.
I am proud to be one of the pro-choice candidates endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund as we fight to take back the House this year.
But if we lose, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans will waste no time trying to pass a national abortion ban that could even take away reproductive freedom here in California. We absolutely cannot allow that to happen.
You are receiving this email because Congressman Josh Harder is one of our last lines of defense to protect our democracy against MAGA extremists like Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson.
