I've got some exciting news for you. In fact, this is the most exciting thing that's happened since we started Powered by People.
But first, let me give you an idea of how far we've come and what we have left to do.
Over the last 7 months, Powered by People volunteers have registered over 100,000 voters and made over 40 million voter contact attempts. These new voters and these newly engaged voters could make the difference in critical elections up and down the ballot.
Now, with early voting about to start, and Election Day so close we can see it, we have to bring it home and turn them out.
That means calling every potential Democratic voter in the state and helping them make a commitment to vote on the first day of Early Voting.
So, on Monday October 12th, we will host the Calling Texas: The Million Voter Phone Bank, and we won't be doing it alone. Here's where the big news that I was telling you about comes in.
We'll be joined on the phone bank by (get this!!): Oprah Winfrey, Willie Nelson, Bernie Sanders, Julián Castro, Stacey Abrams and Andrew Yang, among others.
That's right: these amazing artists, public servants, and political leaders are committed to doing their part to make sure we reach every Texas voter who has the power to decide the outcome of the most important election in our history.
The question is, will you do yours?
This could be the largest single day voter contact effort in Texas history, and I want you to be part of it. Plus, Oprah Winfrey, Willie Nelson, Bernie Sanders, Julián Castro, Stacey Abrams, and Andrew Yang!!!
