No gun law is safe — not in California or anywhere

Any gun safety law will continue to be thrown out by NRA-owned federal judges until we pass a Constitutional amendment to make our communities safer from gun violence.

Jason -

Here's another, very recent example of why we need a Constitutional Amendment on guns.

As you know, California has some of the strongest gun laws in the country, and some of the lowest firearm death rates to match.

Our gun laws work.

But we have to consistently fight back against far-right judges overturning common sense gun laws.

They've overturned our assault weapons ban, our high-capacity magazine ban and legislation to stop gun manufacturers from marketing weapons of war to our kids.

Last week, a right-wing judge stopped a law that would have banned firearms in hospitals, libraries and children's playgrounds.

Tweet from Gavin Newsom: 'A judge has decided that guns should be allowed at our playgrounds, places of worship, hospitals, or libraries. This should serve as a wake up call for everyone. Right wing judges are going to continue to do the bidding of the NRA -- no matter what state you live in. This is exactly why we need to pass a Constitutional Amendment to keep Americans safe from gun violence. '

Wake up.

Any gun safety law will continue to be attacked by NRA-owned federal judges until we pass a Constitutional amendment to make our communities safer from gun violence.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Hi. Please don't click away just yet. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

All across the country, rights are being rolled-back in real-time by Republicans with a zest for demonization. We are going to go on the road and on offense — in red states too — and take the fight to statehouses, local communities, and electoral battlegrounds to save our democracy.

If it sounds worth it that Democrats fight back everywhere rights are under attack — even in Red States — we are asking you to contribute $20 to Gavin Newsom's Campaign for Democracy today. It all adds up when we're all chipping in.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:
