Democrats have a snowball’s chance in hell of retaking the U.S. Senate majority this fall without flipping North Carolina’s red seat blue.
Ain’t nobody’s done that since 2008, and right now, the GOP is flooding beaucoup bucks into NC to keep it that way. That’s ‘cause having a proven winner like two-term former Governor Roy Cooper as the Democratic nominee is our best chance of flipping any of the four seats we need.
Roy can’t overcome the full force of the GOP’s dark-money machine on his own, so if you’re my kind of Democrat – the kind who believes our #1 mission is to take back the Senate from Trump’s far-right flunkies – then I’mma need you to get off your derrière and pitch in $15 split between Cooper Victory Fund and State Democrats Committee ASAP.
Now you'll have to pardon my French, but I'm scared sh*tless Democrats just don't get how bad we need to fight for North Carolina this year.
Every election since 2008, the polls and expert ratings had us convinced NC was going our way … only for some milquetoast Republican jackass to beat us by a few points on Election Day.
And believe me: The jack*ss Roy’s up against this November has a lot going his way.
His GOP opponent Michael Whatley is the former chair of the RNC, so big-time Republicans like the President and my evil twin Steven Miller are putting their thumbs on the scales in his favor.
On top of that, their super PACs are spending over $100 million so far on baseless attack ads against Roy – and now, a recent poll shows his slim lead SHRINKING. This race is officially a statistically tied ballgame.
Without the grassroots resources to surge ahead and reach every last voter between the Outer Banks and the Smokies, Roy could lose this race – and Democrats can say goodbye to flipping the Senate!!!
