We're here to elect the next generation of leaders.
"Spineless." "Complacent." "Paralyzed." "Afraid."
That's how Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters described the Democratic Party in a recent New York Times focus group.
And when those voters were asked what they do want? They were crystal clear. Young, progressive candidates from working and middle-class backgrounds with clear, simple messages, and the backbone to fight.
Here's the advice they gave Democrats:
- Stand up. Don't back down.
- Be bold.
- Pick a message and stick to it.
- Run candidates that make wealthy donors nervous.
