Elizabeth Warren and I met long before either of us imagined ourselves running for office.
Elizabeth Warren and I met long before either of us imagined ourselves running for office. You see, Elizabeth was my law professor and later a mentor as we practiced consumer protection law.
Here we are at her Election Night party in 2012!
Elizabeth was elected to the Senate in 2012, but it wasn't until 2016, when Donald Trump was elected, that I considered running myself. When I told Elizabeth about my idea to run for Congress in my Republican-held district, she offered valuable advice and support—she was the first person to endorse my campaign.
Early on she told me, nobody gets elected alone.
That message has stayed with me through three competitive House races and throughout this Senate campaign. From the volunteers who have answered phones, knocked doors, and set up offices, to the grassroots donors who have pitched in $5 whenever they can, I am so grateful for every person who has gotten our campaign to this point.
In that spirit, I'm asking if you can join our team today by making your first contribution to our Senate campaign.

There are still five months to go before our competitive primary, and this is going to be a team effort. From telling your friends and neighbors about our campaign and reminding them to vote, to pitching in $3, this campaign will be successful only because of grassroots support.
I can't do this alone, and I'm so appreciative of your support!
Katie
