I was one of the first Democrats to call on Senator Bob Menendez to resign last week because every American deserves to feel confident their elected officials are fighting for them, not literally lining their pockets with cash.
I'm not afraid to call out corruption when I see it, even when it (sadly) comes from fellow Democrats. I first ran for Congress in 2018 because I saw how urgently we needed to root out corruption in Washington, and joined MSNBC last week to talk more about this, you can click here to watch.
Corruption in Washington doesn't start and end with this one Senator. And since coming to Congress in 2019, one of my main goals has been to clean. this. place. up. I've led the fight to ban Members of Congress from trading stocks, I'm the only House Democrat to oppose earmarks— which are a way of funding politicians' pet projects—and have been proud to be one of the few to reject corporate PAC, federal lobbyist, and Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Big Bank executive money.
I'm able to stand tall against corruption because of the millions of grassroots supporters like you who have made it possible for me to even run a congressional campaign. Now, I'm running for the U.S. Senate to keep up our fight. With our federal fundraising deadline less than a week away, today would be an excellent day to join our team. Can you chip in today?
