Hi, first off, thanks for opening!
By now, you've hopefully heard that I'm running for the U.S. Senate, and I wanted to provide a bit of an inside look into this race and where things stand. While earlier polls showed us with a slight lead, the most recently released polling shows us three points behind our opponent. It also shows 36% of voters are undecided about who they'll support on Election Day.
What worries me is that our opponent has outraised us two fundraising quarters in a row now. That means we could be facing a resource gap as the race heats up and we all try to communicate with voters through ads, door-knocking, mail, and events.
While I'm in DC right now (dealing with a lot of Republican BS as these guys prepare to shut down the government) I'm spending some time today reaching out to supporters to see if you can help us out before our federal fundraising deadline on Saturday. 99% of our contributions are of $100 or less, so it truly is people like you who are making this whole campaign possible. I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important—can you chip in before 9/30 at midnight?
