Campaign Update

We just wrapped up our all-staff meeting in El Paso. Here are some major updates from our campaign.

We just wrapped up our all-staff meeting. 

If you attended our livestream, I really appreciate you joining us and learning about the next steps for our campaign. If you weren't there — no worries — let me share with you the major updates. Before I dive into the details of what we discussed, I need to make a big ask.

During the meeting, we announced our plan to propel the campaign forward and to put us on a path to win. Pulling off this plan requires us to raise $2 million in six weeks. We realize this is a lot, but we know that with your help we can pull this off. Will you chip in $10 or anything you can and then read the updates from the meeting?

How the campaign is doing:

During the meeting, we released our fundraising number from last quarter and we feel good about our growth. But one number doesn't tell the full story of where we've been, what we've achieved, or where we're headed. 

These past few months have changed us and shown how much is at stake in this election. After a gunman opened fire on our friends and neighbors here in El Paso, my team and I flew home immediately to grieve with our community. At a deep, fundamental level, the shooting made us reflect on what we're doing and what we want this campaign to stand for. That's when I made a promise — to those places where Donald Trump has been terrorizing and terrifying and demeaning our fellow Americans — that's where you will find me and this campaign.

So here's the bottom line: 

If we're going to take this campaign to the next level and move up in the standings, we are going to need your help right now. 

I often say this is a critical moment for the country, and now it's a critical moment for the campaign too. We believe we have the right message, but we need a monumental amount of money this month to make sure we get on that debate stage in November, reach out to folks who don't know us yet, pay for our ads, grow our organizing team, and all the other ingredients we need to get right so we can win this thing.

We're setting an ambitious goal to raise $2 million in the next 6 weeks. Everyone will be watching how we do these first 24 hours after announcing our goal and we're counting on you more than we ever have to help us. Will you please chip in $10 or anything you can tonight?
